The origin of the fleur de lis has been debated for centuries. This stylized lily or lotus flower has served as a decorative element, while being associated with royalty, especially in the High Middle Ages. It appears on coins and seals and coats of arms, has formed the end of scepters and decorated the rims of crowns. Legend says it signifies perfection, light and life. The three-petal design also has been used to represent the Holy Trinity. This dazzling fleur de lis from Dana David's Graffiti Collection features diamonds set in 18k white gold. A wonderful gift for a bride or birthday girl, it surely will be treasured for years to come. Measuring about 1/4" across, it features a total diamond weight of .07 points. The 18k white gold chain features two jump rings and a lobster claw clasp that enable the necklace to be worn at 16" or 18". Designed and crafted in America.
