Headbands are a huge trend right now, and Deepa Gurnani's star as a headband designer is rising fast. She and her husband, Jay Lakhani, first launched the Deepa Gurnani line in 2006, and though you may not be familiar with the name, you no doubt will recognize her headbands; they have become a favorite accessory of many stars and celebrities.
While working as a beader on the couture pieces of Alexander McQueen, Emanuel Ungaro and Fendi, Deepa was inspired to create her distinct style of beaded headbands. Each headband is carefully handcrafted; and while she may be best known for her crystal and fine bead embellished headbands, Deepa also creates exotic headbands with feathers, zippers, chains and metal rings that are a perfect accessory for a Bohemian look.
